    1. Find out the development needs. Boil it into the superior three development needs, or perhaps in other words, “what are you currently looking to get coming from a program?” Typical answers are “learn methods to~ways to be more strategic”, “leading change”, or some blend of functional knowledge (finance, sales, and marketing). There might be is a timeframe that’s better or worse than others (i.e., next Half a year, avoid the summer, etc…)

    2. Search your preferred executive education providers.

    3. Once you find a couple potential programs, locate a good fit. Glance at the recommended participant level, participant mix, industry mix, and company participation.

    4. Read the instructors, see the bios. Look at the day-to-day agenda, topics, and activities. Again, you are looking for a fantastic fit for the participant and his/her development needs. Speak to the provider’s Exec Ed Director, or someone that will help you find out more on the programs.

Ask other’s when they have experience with the program.

    5. Speak with past participants if at all possible, or someone in charge of leadership/executive development development.

    6. Geography can be an aspect. Trying to find a global experience? Than look for a good mixture of global participants, or even better, attend an application outside of the U.S.

    7. Period of program: Programs range between 2-3 days to weeks. I honestly have no idea of how one meet the expense of to go to a 6 week program nowadays, unless they may be on a sabbatical or their clients are just trying to get reduce them for some time.

    8. Look into the amenities’. All right, I am aware, this is the chance to learn and never a trip, but high quality food, accommodations, and surroundings each one is the main total experience. Also find out if the room and meals are in the program.

    9. Factors that will stop an integral part of a decision: alumni relationships, timing coinciding together with the NCAA playoffs, and catchy program titles.

    10. All things considered of this, narrow it into 2-3 program, and then select according to best fit, timing, and costs.
